As a fellow New Jersey native, RIZ LA VIE holds a special place on my artist roster, but aside from sharing the same home state, RIZ captivates an extremely unique essence and message with his music that has earned him the attention of an up and coming alternative artist.

Most well-known for his single “Napkins,” RiZ first entered the music scene in 2017 with his EP entitled Found. Right off the bat from this initial release, RIZ LA VIE portrays that he has a certain energy-centered niche to his messages, starting off the long list of what makes his music so unparalleled. It truly is music for the soul, energy waves that are felt in your deepest bones. 

What I think is most fascinating about RIZ LA VIE  as an artist is his evolution of sound. Following Found., RIZ also released the EPs Keep., Breathe., and Feed. The titles of his projects emit a soulful connection between them, highlighting his creative goals as an artist. Despite this commonality and his distinct, notable sound, each project of RIZ’s presents something completely different that reflects the growth of his vocals, creative genius, and central sound.

I think this is a real testament to who RIZ LA VIE is as an artist - being able to explore all different genres, vibes, and energies, and excelling with each one. He never falls short in delivering an immersive, audio storytelling experience. With such a diversified discography ranging from somber and sincere songs like “She Said” or “Pisces,” to rhythm-intensive songs such as “Saturn” or “Go Again,” and everything else in between, RIZ LA VIE explores music categories unknown and worthy of attention and appreciation.
