in my never-ending search for a new sound, i’ve come across hundreds of artists and songs, all with unique sounds. here to share with you some of my favorites…
playlists
Color paints an image and sound instills emotion. I believe each sound evokes a certain depth, warmth, and sentiment the same way that colors do. It is because of this that I have organized my playlists in accordance with such: by colors. The colors sum up the sounds in a collective lack of words that somehow perfectly define the umbrella of emotions being provoked by the songs. This synesthesia that I have has greatly helped in my development of music identification and I hope that it provides a better recognition for you and your palette.
I’ve always been one to gravitate towards songs, rather than buckle down on one artist’s entire discography. I’ve found that searching through individual songs has opened me up to a much wider variety of music and emotions from so many different perspectives, making my music journey that much more satisfying. However, of course there are those few artists that have particularly resonated with me, ones that I can identify with on a musical, emotional, and personal level. I don’t recommend artists lightly, especially coming from my extremely picky perspective. These following creators, I have had a privilege of indulging in their sounds and enjoying every minute of it, eager to pass along their artistry to others.
